Dogs Looking To Be Adopted

Are you looking for a new companion?
Please email us for more details!

Swiffer

Swiffer is an awesome little dog!

Just 10 months or so, he is full of spunk and wants to be your new best friend!

He sits up on his hindquarters to gently beg for treats.

He has been fabulous with dogs of all sizes, and it would be nice if he had another canine in the house to play with. :o)

He is terrier mix - but EXACTLY what the mix is - I really can't say! He could be schnauzer / cairn / shihtzu / ???? Whatever his lineage - it has resulted in a charming little dog with loads of personality. Swiffer weighs about 22 pounds.

If you are looking for a unique new friend, please email shelly@animalalliance.ca or phone 519-940-4712

Baldwin

Baldwin is a whiskery gentleman with a sad tale - and I wish he could tell us himself.

He was picked up as a stray, but he was in terrible condition. He weighed only 11 pounds (he should be about 20) and needs to gain some weight before we can neuter him. This boy is about 4 or 5 years - barely middle aged for a small dog.

His blood work and initial assessment were surprisingly good - he has no real medical issues other than he has clearly been undernourished for a very long time.

Dear Baldwin has a good appetite, so we are hopeful that the "fattening up" process will not take too long.

Baldwin is good with other dogs, and LOVES cats. He was laying with and licking the clinic cat while they were trying to shave some of his matted coat at the vets.

Although he may not be the very most handsome, he has a gorgeous spirit, and this gentle, gentleman deserves a very special home that will keep him warm and well fed for the rest of his life.

If you would like to meet this sweet boy, please email shelly@animalalliance.ca or 519-940-4712

Lewis

What a sweet and gentle fellow!

Lewis is a young at heart senior with personality plus. He will happily follow you about your daily routine, wagging his tail non-stop and hoping for some affectionate pats.

Lewis is estimated to be about 8 - 10 years young, but still has some puppy bounce and a real zest for life. He is great with other dogs and cats too, as well as being very affectionate with people.

If you would like to meet this amazingly sweet little gentleman, please email shelly@animalalliance.ca or call 519-940-4712

Thanks!

Mimzy

What amazing speckles and spots this girl has!

Thrilled to hang out with you and sleep on your knee, or up for a nice walk in the forest, Mimzy is a medium sized dog with a TON of personality!

She is only about 10 months young, so she still has some puppy sillyness in her system, but she is an amazingly gentle soul - loves other dogs and cats too, as well as being very affectionate with people.

Mimzy is a special needs girl however - as she has hip dysplasia that we are trying to decide the best course of treatment for.

If you would like to meet this sweet girl, please email shelly@animalalliance or call Ann and Pete at 905-939-2692. No small children due to her small size and vulnerability. Thanks!

Abby

Abby is a beautiful, friendly 7 year old girl who is looking for a special family to call her own. Abby was found as a stray, so we don't have a history on her; but if her frost-bitten ear tips are any indication, she has probably not had an easy life. She has great manners, is quiet and respectful in the house and rides well in the car. Abby is crate-trained but can be left alone at home without being crated.

She is a fairly low-energy dog, but does enjoy several good walks a day. She's loves her toys, but will happily chase after the small furry critters that visit her backyard. Because of her high prey drive, Abby should not go to a home with cats or other small animals. Abby is not high maintenance and will happily pick out a place on the floor and snooze by your side. She welcomes attention though, and will lean into your hands when you're scratching her neck or will stretch out for a good belly-rub.

Abby knows her basic commands and walks well on leash. She is a confident girl and we're working on her doggie social skills as she can be a bit pushy when meeting other dogs. Abby is spayed, up-to-date on vaccines, and microchipped. She is doing well and is ready to go to her "forever" home. For more info please call!
