Dogs Looking To Be Adopted

Are you looking for a new companion?

Meet Luki

A tall, dark and handsome young gentleman seeks long term relationship in a new home!

Luki is a gorgeous mix of sight and scent hounds, with long legs and ears and soulful eyes that will melt your heart.

Sweet and gentle in the home, he is still adjusting to life in the city, which can be pretty scary for a former stray from rural Ontario! He does gain confidence and security from his doggy housemates, so a home with a dog already in it would be ideal. (He adores canine wrestling and games of tag, as well!)

If you are looking for a cuddly, sweet hound, luki may be just right for you...

For more info on Luki please call!

Meet Chloe!

To meet Chloe is to fall in love.

This young girl enjoys life without being pushy and loves to please her people.

Sweet and affectionate, she gets along well with both cats, dogs and kids.

She walks well on a leash, is quiet, and well mannered.

If you think that Chloe might be a great new friend for you - please call!

Hana

Hana is a small girl with a big heart! She is a happy dog who loves to play.

She is fabulous with people but is not good with some other dogs. Because of this, she would do best in a home where she could be the only dog.

Hana is probably a schnauzer x poodle. She does have a low/non-shed coat which means that her new person will have to be willing to groom her regularly and get her a haircut when needed.

Hana is about 5 years young, spayed, vaccinated and microchipped. She has recently had dental work done, so she has a bright, shiny smile!

Hana is looking for a family or person who will appreciate all the love she has to offer.
If you think that YOU might be that person, please call!

Meet Theodore

Theodore (aka Piglet because he is shaped like a baby pig) was found as a stray, so though we don't know exactly how old he is his cataracts and hearing problems tell us he is "getting up there". There is nothing wrong with Theodore's nose though, he loves to sniff everything as he goes for walks.

We call him our little wind-up toy; he is slow to start off his walks but once he gets going he marches along with determined steps, his tail wagging from side to side.

Theodore's short little legs and poor eyesight make stairs dangerous so he must be carried but he does not weigh much.

Theodore's tiny bladder sometimes does not make it through the night so whoever adopts him will need to be prepared for the occasional puddle, though being such a tiny guy these accidents are very small and easy to clean.

Theodore's back legs are getting stronger with each walk, we think he did not get much exercise in the last while.

Theodore is in good general health and we expect that he has many happy years ahead.

If you are interested in Theodore - please call!

Jimmy

Jimmy is an older fellow - but you wouldn't suspect it from his behaviour! He is a bouncy fellow, full of life. He is comfortable on the sofa (he can jump up himself!) or on a dog bed.

He's difficult to capture on film as he's either on the move or he is sleeping curled up tight. He is very active, and you would never suspect he has a heart condition from his behaviour.

Jimmy takes medication for his heart murmur and the condition is very well managed.

He is getting along well with the other dogs in his foster home, but he will steal food from them.

If you have a space in your home for a tiny fellow full of character, please call!

Kismet!

Kismet is a young senior who hasn't had much of a life so far.

He came to us as a stray but the poor condition of his coat, his nails growing into his feet, and his lack of muscle tone, make us think he was keep crated 24/7 and had little positive human interaction.

Despite his poor life, Kismet is starting to realize that humans can be fun

He is getting along well with the other dogs in his foster home, and is starting to seek out attention from his foster family.

Kismet is vision impaired but not totally blind. It seems he had untreated "dry eye" - a common condition in this breed and needs to have eye drops once a day.

He is totally housetrained but doesn't ask to go out. If you can take him out 2 or 3 times a day he is happy to oblige.

If you have a space in your heart and home, some time to let him blossom without huge immediate pressures on him, perhaps you would consider this fine boy.
